分情況加。earth作“地球”解時常以單數(shù)形式出現(xiàn)，前加定冠詞，也可作為專有名詞，這時要用the earth形式。earth作“地球”解，如果和天空、天體相對時，前面常不加冠詞。earth作“泥土，土壤”解時，不用冠詞。

1、earth作“泥土，土壤”解時，是物質(zhì)名詞，泛指時不用冠詞。

舉例：Earth gives us all the good things!

泥土把所有的美好事物都賜予了我們！

2、earth作“地球”解時常以單數(shù)形式出現(xiàn)，前加定冠詞，也可作為專有名詞，這時要用the earth形式。其他如：the sun、the moon 等。
