bother的意思

bother的用法

1. 表示“打擾”“麻煩”，為及物動(dòng)詞，要表示用某事麻煩某人，一般用介詞 with 或 about。如：

I’m sorry that I have to bother you with [about] this problem. 對(duì)不起，我要用這個(gè)問(wèn)題來(lái)麻煩你了。

2. 表示“費(fèi)心”“費(fèi)力”，多用于否定句和疑問(wèn)句；若表示費(fèi)心做某事，表示通常其后接動(dòng)詞時(shí)，通常用不定式。如：

He didn’t bother (=trouble) to answer personally. 他嫌麻煩不愿親自回答。

Why bother to write? We’ll see him tomorrow. 還寫信干什么? 我們明天就見(jiàn)到他了。

在現(xiàn)代英語(yǔ)中，bother 后也可跟動(dòng)名詞。如：

4. 慣用句式 can’t be bothered (to do sth) 的意思是“嫌麻煩而不做某事”“偷懶”。如：
