quite的用法

quite的意思是“相當(dāng)；完全地”，是一個(gè)副詞，但它很特殊。它不但能修飾動(dòng)詞、形容詞、副詞、分詞，還能修飾名詞、介詞短語(yǔ)等。

一、quite修飾形容詞、副詞等。

例如： She is quite right．她完全正確。 This is quite impossible．這是完全不可能的。 I know how to use the machine quite well．我完全知道怎么使用這臺(tái)機(jī)器。 He worked quite hard．他工作很努力。

二、quite修飾名詞。

1．當(dāng)名詞前沒有形容詞修飾時(shí)，quite要放在冠詞前。例如： quite a lot（許多），quite a time（很長(zhǎng)一段時(shí)間），quite an effort（很大努力），quite a while（一段相當(dāng)長(zhǎng)的時(shí)間），quite a few（相當(dāng)多），quite a little（相當(dāng)多；大量的） 2．當(dāng)名詞前有形容詞修飾時(shí)，quite可放在冠詞前，也可放在冠詞之后，但放在冠詞之前較普遍。例如： He is quite a clever boy．（較普遍） 或He is a quite clever boy．他是一個(gè)相當(dāng)聰明的孩子。

三、quite與not連用，常構(gòu)成“not quite”結(jié)構(gòu)，表示部分否定，意思是“沒有完全……”。例如： She is not quite well．她沒有完全康復(fù)。 I don't quite understand the problem．我并沒有完全理解這道題。

四、“完全一樣”要用exactly the same，不用quite the same?！安煌耆粯印笨烧fnot quite the same。

五、“完全贊同”可說quite agree，但反義一般不說quite disagree。
