refuse的用法

1. 后接名詞或代詞作賓語，注意以下用法：

(1) 若后接人作賓語，表示拒絕某人。如：

It’s clever of her to refuse them. 她拒絕他們那是明智的。

(2) 若后接事物作賓語，表示拒絕接受某物。如：

He refused the money. 他拒絕收錢。

Why did she refuse the job? 她為什么拒絕接受這項工作。

(3) 若后接雙賓語，通常表示給予某人某物。如：

He refused her nothing. 她要什么他就給什么。

They’ve refused him leave of absence. 他們不準他休假。

接雙賓語時，若雙賓語易位時，通常用介詞to引出間接賓語。如：

We refused him admittance.=We refused admittance to him. 我們不讓他入場。

2. 表示拒絕做某事，其后可接不定式，但不能接動名詞，也不能接不定式的復(fù)合結(jié)構(gòu)或that從句。如：

他拒絕我用他的詞典。

正：He refused to let me use his dictionary.

誤：He refused me to use his dictionary.

誤：He refused my using his dictionary.

誤：He refused that I should use his dictionary.
