decide的用法

decide具有及物動(dòng)詞和不及物動(dòng)詞的用法，其后常接兩種形式，具體如下：

1. 表示“決定做某事”，其后要接不定式，不能接動(dòng)名詞。如：

They decided to delay the meeting. 他們決定把會(huì)議推遲。

She decided to call his office. 她決定給他辦公室打電話。

若要接動(dòng)名詞，應(yīng)先接介詞 on（但不如用不定式結(jié)構(gòu)常見(jiàn)）。如：

We decided on leaving. 我們決定離開(kāi)。

He decided on going abroad. 他決定出國(guó)。

另外，decide on之后還可接名詞或代詞，表示“對(duì)……作出決定”或“選定……”。如：

We haven’t decided on a price but we’re open to offers. 價(jià)錢未定，歡迎顧主開(kāi)價(jià)。

After seeing all the candidates we’ve decided on this one. 我們見(jiàn)了所有的候選人，決定選這位。

2. 表示“決定不做某事”，可用 decide not to do 或 decide against doing。如：

He decide not to change [against changing] his job. 他決定不換工作。

They have decided not to move [against moving] to London. 他們已決定不搬到倫敦去。

另外，decide against 之后也可接名詞或代詞。如：

After talking the matter over, they decided against the plan. 經(jīng)過(guò)反復(fù)討論，他們決定不采用該計(jì)劃。

decide的用法例句

1. A dentist may decide to extract the tooth to prevent recurrent trouble.

牙醫(yī)可能會(huì)決定拔掉那顆牙，以免反復(fù)發(fā)作。

2. He might decide that it is best to induce labour.

他也許決定最好引產(chǎn)。

3. If the clubs cannot conclude a deal, an independent tribunal will decide.

如果俱樂(lè)部之間無(wú)法達(dá)成協(xié)議，將由一個(gè)獨(dú)立的仲裁委員會(huì)來(lái)裁定。

4. The judges could not decide which category it belonged in.

評(píng)委們無(wú)法判定它屬于哪一類。

5. I couldn't decide whether he was incredibly brave or just insane.

我不能判定他到底是英勇無(wú)畏還是精神失常。

6. The judge should not have left it to the jury to decide.

法官本不該把案子交給陪審團(tuán)來(lái)裁定。
