華僑大學(xué)創(chuàng)辦于1960年，直屬中央統(tǒng)戰(zhàn)部（國(guó)務(wù)院僑務(wù)辦公室）領(lǐng)導(dǎo)，是中國(guó)第一所以“華僑”命名的高等學(xué)府。1983年被確定為“國(guó)家重點(diǎn)扶植大學(xué)”；2003年在教育部首批本科教學(xué)工作水平評(píng)估中獲評(píng)優(yōu)秀等級(jí)；2018年入選福建省“雙一流”建設(shè)高校。

華僑大學(xué)在中國(guó)福建省泉州市和廈門(mén)市分別設(shè)有校區(qū)，是中國(guó)境內(nèi)最早招收海外學(xué)生的大學(xué)之一。學(xué)校現(xiàn)有全日制在校生35000余人，其中有來(lái)自港澳臺(tái)地區(qū)和100多個(gè)國(guó)家的學(xué)生8000余人。建校63年來(lái)，學(xué)校為海內(nèi)外培養(yǎng)各類優(yōu)秀人才20多萬(wàn)名，其中海外校友6萬(wàn)余人。

一、陳嘉庚獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金簡(jiǎn)介

陳嘉庚獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金是由廈門(mén)市陳嘉庚教育基金會(huì)設(shè)立，旨在深入貫徹落實(shí)習(xí)近平總書(shū)記給集美校友總會(huì)回信精神，更好地宣傳“華僑旗幟、民族光輝”陳嘉庚先生的豐功偉業(yè)，傳承和弘揚(yáng)嘉庚精神，吸引和鼓勵(lì)更多優(yōu)秀華僑華人后裔來(lái)廈門(mén)學(xué)習(xí)深造。

獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的資金來(lái)源以集美學(xué)校委員會(huì)香港集友銀行股息收益金為主，主要用于資助“海上絲綢之路”沿線國(guó)家的華僑華人后裔學(xué)生來(lái)廈門(mén)就讀學(xué)習(xí)。

二、申請(qǐng)條件

1.擁護(hù)“一個(gè)中國(guó)”，對(duì)祖（籍）國(guó)友好，身體健康的“海上絲綢之路”沿線國(guó)家華僑華人后裔。

2.遵守法律法規(guī)，符合我校入學(xué)條件。

3.高中及以上學(xué)歷，年齡原則上不超過(guò)22歲（截止2024年9月1日前）。

三、獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金資助名額及標(biāo)準(zhǔn)

1.資助名額

（1）語(yǔ)言進(jìn)修生（一年制）：15名。

（2）本科生：10名。

最終資助名額均以陳嘉庚獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金工作領(lǐng)導(dǎo)小組根據(jù)實(shí)際申請(qǐng)情況審批確定為準(zhǔn)。

2.資助金額(幣值單位：人民幣)

語(yǔ)言進(jìn)修生：3萬(wàn)元/人/學(xué)年（資助年限為1年）。

本科生：5萬(wàn)元/人/學(xué)年（資助年限為4-5年）。

備注：獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的資助年限原則上不超過(guò)所就讀相關(guān)學(xué)歷層次的正常學(xué)制年限。

四、申請(qǐng)時(shí)間

2024年3月1日至5月10日。

五、申請(qǐng)程序

登錄華僑大學(xué)境外學(xué)生本科報(bào)名系統(tǒng)：http://admissions.hqu.edu.cn/，填寫(xiě)基本信息，上傳報(bào)名材料，招生專業(yè)請(qǐng)查看附件1。

注：1.申請(qǐng)者須在申請(qǐng)我校相關(guān)專業(yè)并被錄取后，才能參與獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金評(píng)選。

2.申請(qǐng)者需對(duì)所提交材料的真實(shí)性和完整性負(fù)責(zé)，申請(qǐng)資料不實(shí)或缺漏的，我校不予受理。

六、申請(qǐng)材料

1.《陳嘉庚獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金申請(qǐng)表》（附件2，須申請(qǐng)者本人簽名后上傳）。

2.護(hù)照（有效期須超過(guò)2025年10月1日）。

3.經(jīng)公證的中文或英文最后學(xué)歷學(xué)位證書(shū)和成績(jī)單：中英文以外的文本需附經(jīng)公證的中文或英文譯文。

4.申請(qǐng)人的中文語(yǔ)言水平要求：

（1）語(yǔ)言進(jìn)修生申請(qǐng)者不做要求；

（2）本科生申請(qǐng)者漢語(yǔ)水平考試（HSK）原則上需達(dá)5級(jí)或以上(馬來(lái)西亞華文獨(dú)中高中畢業(yè)生免于提供)。

5.畢業(yè)學(xué)校鑒定書(shū)或推薦信1份，請(qǐng)用中文或英文書(shū)寫(xiě)。

6.華人華僑后裔證明（附件3）。

由所在國(guó)家華人社團(tuán)或較有影響的華人出具申請(qǐng)人為華人后裔的證明函。

7.來(lái)華學(xué)習(xí)計(jì)劃：提供不少于800字的學(xué)習(xí)計(jì)劃。

8.外國(guó)人體格檢查記錄表（附件4）。

七、獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金評(píng)選與管理

1.獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的評(píng)審實(shí)行公開(kāi)、公平、公正、擇優(yōu)的原則。我校將綜合申請(qǐng)者的學(xué)業(yè)成績(jī)、語(yǔ)言水平、學(xué)術(shù)能力、推薦情況和綜合素質(zhì)等方面，擇優(yōu)遴選我校的獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金候選人，并提交至陳嘉庚獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金工作領(lǐng)導(dǎo)小組進(jìn)行集中評(píng)審。

獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金結(jié)果預(yù)計(jì)將于7月審批確認(rèn)。我校錄取名單將在我校招生網(wǎng)站上公布。

2.凡被我校錄取者，均發(fā)放《華僑大學(xué)錄取通知書(shū)》及《外國(guó)留學(xué)人員來(lái)華確認(rèn)表》（JW202表）。新生應(yīng)憑此前往中國(guó)駐當(dāng)?shù)厥诡I(lǐng)館申辦X1學(xué)習(xí)簽證后，按我校規(guī)定的新生開(kāi)學(xué)時(shí)間準(zhǔn)時(shí)到校注冊(cè)。無(wú)故逾期兩周不到校報(bào)到者按自動(dòng)失去入學(xué)資格處理。入學(xué)后，由學(xué)校組織進(jìn)行身體檢查，檢查結(jié)果合格者，方能正式獲得入學(xué)資格。

3.申請(qǐng)人已獲得其他類型的新生獎(jiǎng)助學(xué)金的，不再享受陳嘉庚獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的資助。本獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金優(yōu)先用于支付學(xué)費(fèi)、住宿費(fèi)等支出，其余作為生活費(fèi)按月發(fā)放。

學(xué)生入學(xué)后，我校將對(duì)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金獲得者進(jìn)行年度考核，按照陳嘉庚教育基金會(huì)制定章程及《華僑大學(xué)陳嘉庚獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金管理細(xì)則》及學(xué)校相關(guān)制度進(jìn)行管理，符合條件的可繼續(xù)享受下一學(xué)年的獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金，否則將取消其資格。

獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金獲得者來(lái)廈門(mén)學(xué)習(xí)后原則上不得變更學(xué)校、專業(yè)或延長(zhǎng)學(xué)習(xí)期限。如有特殊情況確需變更專業(yè)、轉(zhuǎn)學(xué)和延長(zhǎng)學(xué)習(xí)期限，須向基金會(huì)提出申請(qǐng)，經(jīng)批準(zhǔn)后方可變更、轉(zhuǎn)學(xué)或延長(zhǎng)學(xué)習(xí)期限。未經(jīng)批準(zhǔn)而自行變更專業(yè)、轉(zhuǎn)學(xué)或延長(zhǎng)學(xué)習(xí)期限及中途退學(xué)、休學(xué)者予以取消獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金資格。

Application Guide forTan Kah Kee Scholarship,

Huaqiao University 2024

（ForBachelor’Degree Programs and One-Academic-Year Chinese Language Program)

Huaqiao University (HQU), founded in 1960, is a university directly under the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee (Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council). It is also one of China’s first universities named after "huaqiao". In 1983, HQU became one of the universities that received priority support from the country. In 2003, HQU was qualified as "Excellent" by the Ministry of Education in its first Undergraduate Teaching Performance Assessment. In 2018, HQU was listed under Fujian’s Double First Class Initiative to be built into a world-class university with first-class disciplines.

HQU is one of the first Chinese universities that enroll overseas students. It encompasses two campuses located in Quanzhou and Xiamen respectively. Currently HQU has more than 35,000 full-time students, among whom more than 8,000 are from the regions of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, as well as over 100 countries worldwide. HQU has cultivated over 200,000 students of all levels since its establishment, among whom over 60,000 alumni are distributed in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and other countries or regions overseas.

I.Introduction to Tan Kah Kee Scholarship

Tan Kah Kee Scholarship was set up by Xiamen Tan Kah Kee Education Foundation to further implement the spirit of the letter of Correspondence of General Secretary Xi Jinping to Jimei Alumni Association. The scholarship aims to better promote the spirit of Mr. Tan Kah Kee, the Flag of Overseas Chinese and the Glory of the Nation, as well as attract more outstanding ethnic Chinese to study in Xiamen.

The scholarship mainly comes from the dividend yield from Hong Kong Chiyu Banking Corporation Limited of Jimei Schools Committee to support the ethnic Chinese from the countries of "Maritime Silk Road" to pursue their studies in Xiamen.

II.Eligibility

1. Applicants should be ethnic Chinese in good health from the countries of "Maritime Silk Road" and be friendly to China, adhering to the "One China Principle".

2. Applicants should abide by the laws and regulations of Chinese government and meet the admission requirements of HQU.

3. Applicants should hold a senior high school diploma or above and be under the age of 22 (as of Sept 1st, 2024).

III.Scholarship Coverage and Quota

1.Scholarships Quota

(1) 10 for bachelor's degree programs.

(2) 15 for one-academic-year Chinese language program.

Note: Final quota will be determined by Xiamen Tan Kah Kee Scholarships Committee.

2.Scholarship Coverage

For one-academic-year Chinese language program: RMB 30,000 per year for 1 year.

For bachelor’s degree programs: RMB 50,000 per year for 4-5 years.

Note: In principle, the duration of the scholarship does not exceed the normal duration of the relevant programs.

V.Application Procedures

Please log on https://admissions.hqu.edu.cn/Account/Login/ to submit the application. Please refer to APPENDIXE 1 for more information about the undergraduate programs available.

Note:

1. Application for the scholarships will be considered only after the applicant has been admitted to HQU.

2. Applicants should be responsible for authenticity and completeness of the materials submitted. Incomplete or forged application materials will be rejected.

VI.ApplicationDocuments

1. Application Form for Tan Kah Kee Scholarship (see APPENDIXE 2, upload the form with signature)

2. Passport (passport validity should be on or after October 1^st, 2025)

3. The notarized or certified highest degree diploma and academic transcripts. If graduation certificates and transcripts are not in Chinese or English, please attach authenticated Chinese or English translations.

4. Chinese language proficiency requirement:

There is no Chinese language proficiency requirement for one-academic-year Chinese language programs.

Applicants (except for Malaysian Sekolah Tinggi Persendirian Cina graduates) should reach HSK Level 5 to be qualified for the bachelor’s degree programs.

5. Recommendation Letter written in Chinese or English.

6. A Letter of Reference from Overseas Chinese Associations or Overseas Chinese Celebrity of the Home Country to certify that the applicants are ethnic Chinese (see APPENDIXE 3)

7. Study Plan: not less than 800 words

8. Physical Examination Record for Foreigner (see APPENDIXE 4)

VII.ScholarshipAssessment and Management

1. Applications for the scholarships will be evaluated on a competitive basis through an open, fair and impartial process. HQU will evaluate applicants in terms of their academic performance, language proficiency, research competence, letters of recommendation and overall merits, and submit the short-list of candidates to the Xiamen Tan Kah Kee Education Foundation for final evaluation. The final results will be published at https://zsc.hqu.edu.cn/ in July.

2. Admission Letters and Confirmation Form for Study in China (JW202) will be offered, with which students apply for study visa at the local Chinese Embassy and register at HQU on time. Students who fail to register on time will be regarded as giving up the offer. HQU will organize physical examination after registration. Only those who pass the physical examination will get admitted officially.

3. Applicants who have received other types of freshman scholarships will not be eligible for Tan Kah Kee Scholarship. Scholarship will be first applied to the deduction of tuition and accommodation fees, and the rest will be paid monthly as living allowance.

An annual assessment for the awardees will be conducted. Students who pass the annual assessment will continue to be granted the scholarship for the following year. Otherwise the qualifications will be canceled.

Generally speaking, the awardees cannot change their schools, majors, or extend study periods. In case the awardees have to change majors or schools, or extend the study periods, they should submit the application to Tan Kah Kee Education Foundation. Students who change their majors, schools, or extend study periods, drop out of the school, or suspend schooling without approval will be deprived of the scholarship.
