suggest可以用作動詞

suggest的基本意思是“建議”“提議”,還可表示“暗示,表明”“使想起”等。

suggest一般用作及物動詞,接名詞、代詞、動名詞、帶疑問詞的動詞不定式或由that/wh-引導的從句作賓語。接動名詞作賓語時,其前可帶有表示其邏輯主體的物主代詞或賓格代詞。suggest還可接雙賓語,其直接賓語可由名詞、代詞或that從句充當,其間接賓語多由介詞to引出。suggest作“推薦”“提議”解時,還可接以as短語充當補足語的復合賓語。

suggest作“建議”“提議”解后接that從句作賓語時,從句中的謂語動詞要用虛擬式; 作“表明,暗示”“使想起”等解時,從句中的謂語動詞可用陳述式。
