unless意為“除非”，表示讓步或者條件。如:

She won't be happy unless you accompany her all the time.除非你一直陪著她，不然她會不開心。

英語四級考點(diǎn)歸納：

unless與if…not都可以譯為‘’要是(不)”，但是二者在用法和含義上并非完全等同。如：

※ Unless she had noticed this，the world would have lost one of the greatest discoveries of thecentury.(=If she had not noticed this，the world would have lost one of the greatest discoveriesof the Century.)假如她沒有注意到這一點(diǎn)，世界就會失去一項(xiàng)那個世紀(jì)最偉大的發(fā)現(xiàn)。

※ Unless I were a teacher, I would not concern myself with your morality.我又不是 老師，不會關(guān)心你的道德品質(zhì)。

If I weren't a teacher, I would not concern myself with your morality.假如我不是老師的話，我就不會關(guān)心你的道德品質(zhì)了。(實(shí)際上我是老師，因此要關(guān)心你的道德品質(zhì)。)
