三手煙是指在吸煙幾小時或幾天之后仍然殘留在地毯、衣物以及其他物品中的煙污染。據(jù)研究，許多人，尤其是煙民，都不知道三手煙會危害人們的健康。在接受調(diào)查的1500名煙民和非煙民中，絕大部分人都認(rèn)同二手煙的危害。但當(dāng)他們被問到是否知曉“吸入前一天有人吸煙的屋子里的空氣會危害你的健康”時,只有65%的非煙民和43%的煙民回答是肯定的。
