thank可以用作動(dòng)詞

thank的基本意思是“謝謝”“感謝”,指因某人所做的事或所給予的東西而在口頭或文字上表示感謝。thank也可作“責(zé)怪”解,表示一種請求,現(xiàn)常作反語,含有埋怨、不耐煩的口氣。

thank是及物動(dòng)詞,接名詞或代詞作賓語,還可接復(fù)合賓語,其賓語補(bǔ)足語可由“to be adj. ”結(jié)構(gòu)或動(dòng)詞不定式充當(dāng)。

"When you are 'grateful' to someone, you can sometimes feel a little 'beholden' to them. It creates a feeling of 'owingness'." 也就是說grateful帶有一點(diǎn)“義務(wù)”的性質(zhì)。
