"Tis the last rose of summer,

Left blooming alone,

All her lovely companions

Are faded and gone.

No flower of her kindred,

No rose bud is nigh,

To reflect back her blushes,

I"ll not leave thee, thou lone one,

To pine on the stem,

Since the lovely are sleeping,

Go sleep thou with them.

Thus kindly I scatter

Thy leaves o"er the bed

Where thy mates of the garden

Lie scentless and dead.

So soon may I follow,

既然美麗的同伴都已入睡，

去吧！你也和她們一起躺著。

為此，我撒落一些

葉子在花床上

那兒，也是你花園的同伴

無聲無息躺著的地方。

不久我也可能追隨朋友而去，

像從燦爛之愛情圈中

掉落的寶石。

當(dāng)忠誠的友人遠(yuǎn)去，

所愛的人飛走，
