worth用法要點(diǎn)歸納

1. be worth doing ……值得做。如：

The book is well worth reading. 這本書(shū)很值得一讀。

She’s not worth getting angry with. 犯不上跟她生氣。

注：該結(jié)構(gòu)中 worth 后的動(dòng)名詞與句子有動(dòng)賓關(guān)系，但該動(dòng)名詞只能用主動(dòng)形式表示被動(dòng)意義。

2. it is worth doing sth 做某事是值得的。如：

Knowledge is worth working for. 知識(shí)是值得努力追求的。

Is it worth visiting the place? 這個(gè)地方值得一看嗎?

比較：It’s worth seeing the film. / The film is worth seeing. 這部電影值得看。

3. worth (one’s) while 值得某人去做，值得某人花時(shí)間。如：

The work is worth your while. 這工作值得你花時(shí)間去做(from www.網(wǎng)址未加載)。

Well, I can go, but will it be worth (my) while? 好吧，我可以去，不過(guò)值得(我去)嗎?

I’d like you to do some work for me. I’ll make it worth your while. 我想你幫我做點(diǎn)，我不會(huì)讓你白干的。

4. It’s worth (one’s) while to do sth (doing sth) 某事值得某人去做。如：

It’s worth while doing [to do] the work. 這項(xiàng)工作值得做。

It’s worth your while to visit [visiting] the museum. 這個(gè)博物館值得你去看看。
