almost可以用作副詞

almost是常用的程度副詞,基本意思是“幾乎,差不多”,強(qiáng)調(diào)差一點(diǎn),缺一點(diǎn)。引申還可作“實(shí)際〔質(zhì)〕上”“簡(jiǎn)直”解。

almost可用于修飾動(dòng)詞、形容詞、副詞、名詞、代詞、數(shù)詞或介詞等,有時(shí)還可用來代替全句。almost不能與not連用,但可與no, none, nobody, nothing, never等否定詞連用,表示“幾乎,差不多”。

為了避免意義含混不清或者不合邏輯, almost常常緊接在它所修飾詞之前。修飾動(dòng)詞時(shí)一般置于主要?jiǎng)釉~之前,但要放在系動(dòng)詞、助動(dòng)詞和情態(tài)動(dòng)詞之后。almost不能置于句末。
