conclude是正式用語(yǔ),指用正式或特殊的方式來結(jié)束事情、活動(dòng)或文章,如達(dá)成協(xié)議或作出決定后結(jié)束會(huì)議,得出結(jié)論后結(jié)束文章或講演等。由此引申可表示“作出決定”“得出結(jié)論”等。

conclude用作及物動(dòng)詞時(shí),可接名詞、代詞、動(dòng)詞不定式或從句作賓語(yǔ)。偶爾也可接以“(to be+) adj. ”充當(dāng)補(bǔ)足語(yǔ)的復(fù)合賓語(yǔ)。
