swear可以用作動詞

swear的基本意思是“咒罵”,指用污穢的語言對某人或某物進行攻擊,造成精神上的傷害。swear還可指明確或鄭重地向某人保證某事,即“發(fā)誓”。

swear可用作及物動詞,也可用作不及物動詞。用作及物動詞時,后接名詞、代詞、動詞不定式或that從句作賓語,還可接以形容詞充當補足語的復合賓語。可用于被動結構。
