農(nóng)歷的正月十五，是中國的傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日元宵節(jié)。正月為元月，古人稱夜為“宵”，而十五又是一年中的第一個月圓之夜，所以稱正月十五為元宵節(jié)，又稱為“上元節(jié)”。按我們民間傳統(tǒng)，在一元復(fù)始，大地回春的節(jié)日夜晚，天上明月高懸，地上彩燈萬盞；人們觀燈，猜燈謎。吃湯圓象征家庭像月圓一樣團(tuán)圓，也寄托了人們對未來生活的美好愿望。

傳說在很久以前，世上風(fēng)調(diào)雨順、五谷豐登，老百姓豐衣足食、安居樂業(yè)。突然災(zāi)難降臨、城內(nèi)洪水泛濫，城外田地干旱，原來是王母娘娘請玉帝去赴宴，玉帝喝酒喝得酩酊大醉回宮辦事，于是把雨簿寫錯了，本應(yīng)是城外雨五分，城內(nèi)雨三分，玉帝給寫反了。青龍得知原因，便偷偷地里溜到天宮，改了雨簿，這樣世上又慢慢恢復(fù)了本來面目。玉帝酒醒后，也發(fā)現(xiàn)寫錯了雨簿，但本想改正，又怕重臣說自己做事不慎重，只好將錯就錯。后來玉帝發(fā)現(xiàn)自己的雨簿被改過，不由心中大怒，派丞相來到人間殺了青龍。青龍被丞相殺了后，變成一只神鳥，在玉帝殿外喊冤，玉帝心中感到慚愧，便下書要黃帝向百姓傳令，要紀(jì)念為民除害的青龍。每年春節(jié)，人們都要敲鑼打鼓，耍龍舞獅幾年青龍，慶祝元宵節(jié)。

The Jade Emperor feels ashamed, so he asks the Yellow Emperor to send an order to the people to commemorate Qinglong, who was killed for the people. Every Spring Festival, people will play gongs and drums, play dragon and lion dance for several years, and celebrate the Lantern Festival.
