lie現(xiàn)在分詞是lying。lie的基礎(chǔ)含意就是指人“平躺著〔臥〕”,也可表達(dá)“(使)某物平放”。作“撒謊”解時(shí),強(qiáng)調(diào)于好意或故意的目地說與客觀事實(shí)迥然矛盾的或壓根不會(huì)有的假話。

一、lie表示“撒謊”的意思時(shí)

1、可以用做名詞，表示謊言；假話

二、lie表示“躺著” 的意思時(shí)

1、做動(dòng)詞， 躺；平臥

There was a child lying on the ground.

2、被平放

a newspaper lying on a nearby couch.

放在旁邊沙發(fā)上的一張報(bào)紙

3、（某處）位于（某個(gè)位置或方向）

The islands lie at the southern end of the Kurile chain.
