should常譯作“應(yīng)該”,would常譯作“愿意;會(huì)”。should和would都可用于疑問句,表示征詢意見或提建議。但它們比shall和will更委婉。
Would的用法would最常見的用法是:相對(duì)于一個(gè)過去時(shí)間點(diǎn)的后來“將要”做什么,比如:
He said he would meet me at the station. 他說他會(huì)在車站接我的。這句中的 would meet 是相對(duì)于said(過去說)之后要做的事情。又如:
She thought she would have to ask someone for help. 她當(dāng)時(shí)想,她得找個(gè)人幫忙。
